The likes of Morgan Grenfell, Saloman Brothers, Dillion Reed were bought up in the 1990s. You even have Kuhn, Loeb on the list and that hasn't existed since the 70s. Off the top of my head Schroders (just an assset manager since it off loaded its IB to Citigroup),J. & W. Seligman (also just an asset manager having disposed of its IB in the 1930s), Drexel Burnham Lambert, Kleinwort Benson, Robert Fleming & Co, Smith Barney, Wasserstein Perella and Hambros have also long since gone. And of course we've lost ABN Ambro, Lehman, Merrill and Wachovia in the last year or so.
